Wednesday, September 19, the Diamond Cherry Reading Series presents Sandra Kasturi, who will read from her new book of poetry, The Animal Bridegroom, as well as spoken word by CS Field Trio and poetry by Tanis Rideout, plus an open mic and our monthly contest. The full title of the painting which inspired our magazine title is Homo sapiens, Lepidium sativum and Calliphora vomitoria - a wise man, some cress, and a bluebottle. It is the work of British artist Stuart Pearson Wright.
