Nuit Blanche runs from sundown Saturday, September 29 until sunrise Sunday, September 30. There are so many worthy events it will be difficult to see them all, but we dare you. As a matter of fact we double-dog dare you. How tough is that?

And after you’ve been up all night what’s better than braving the crowds at Toronto’s annual Word on the Street? On Sunday, September 30, Queen’s Park will transform into a literary theme park for the 18th annual Word On The Street.  There will be more that 250 book, magazine and literacy exhibitor booths in the festival marketplace this year and more-than-200 featured authors, poets, storytellers, performers and industry experts at the 14 on-site performance venues.

After a successful show with The Queen West Art Crawl Fleurtje has brought back 'daily drivers' to be frank photography by Russell J Power. Now through October at Fleurtje, 764 Queen Street West.

The full title of the painting which inspired our magazine title is Homo sapiens, Lepidium sativum and Calliphora vomitoria - a wise man, some cress, and a bluebottle. It is the work of British artist Stuart Pearson Wright.

"At the end of the first sitting, the Prince inspected the work and exclaimed 'godzooks' or 'godzounds', the artist was too alarmed to remember which."
