I Saw...

…While watching the final round of last weekend’s Master’s tournament, a wee NHL logo on the top of Brandt Snedeker’s caddy’s t-shirt, and what appeared to be the tip of a Toronto Maple Leafs logo. Curious as to why the Tennessee PGA pro and leading participant in the venerable Southern golf event would have a caddy with a Leafs logo (let alone any hockey reference at all) on his t-shirt, a quick google search solved the mystery: Snedeker’s caddy, Scott Vail, hails from Oshawa and he is the son of former NHL-er Erik Vail. Still, one has to wonder what prompted him to sport such a Canadian tribute to full view of the millions of golf fans watching Sunday’s coverage? Could it have anything to do with the apparent lack of attention CBS gives to Canadian participants Mike Weir and Stephen Ames? Perhaps Vail was encouraged to make a silent protest to the CBS executives, to remind them of the large country to their north.  Or maybe he just happened to wake up in it after a late night on the town.
