Transition features the photo-based installations of graduating OCAD students, as they delve into the strata of memories unfolding their present practice. Layering negatives, constructing photographic sculptures, interweaving time-based images they investigate the interaction between traditional and contemporary methods of production.

The full title of the painting which inspired our magazine title is Homo sapiens, Lepidium sativum and Calliphora vomitoria - a wise man, some cress, and a bluebottle. It is the work of British artist Stuart Pearson Wright.
