Meet Toronto artist Marcelle Faucher, a photo illustrator, super-duper creative genius and all-round cool woman. 

Where did you grow up? Why?
West end Toronto. My mother originally moved into the High Park area, and I’ve moved east as far as Queen West which is as far east as I plan to go.
 
How long have you been in Toronto?
31 Years – minus a few years traveling

What keeps you busy?
Life

What was your favourite summer job?
Picking Mangos on a tropical fruit farm just outside of Darwin, Australia

Dream job? Why?
I have my dream job…self employed, fab studio in a great arts building, fantastic clients (mostly)

What’s your passion?
Watching things grow in my back yard and getting my hands dirty

Yes?

What do you give back to the No Fly Zone?
I spend most of my money in the NFZ…rent, food, stuff…

What can we do to make Toronto a "world class" city?
Toronto is a world class city…believe in it!

Are you an artist?
I am a commercial artist who one day strives to illustrate my own hopes and dreams.

How does art influence your life?
I produce art for a living and must fill my well by absorbing all kinds of art forms at all opportunities.

Worst public moment?
I must have been drinking…I don’t remember…

Why do you live here?
Toronto is my favorite place to come home to.
