9/11 Truth Debate and Discussion
CENTER FOR INQUIRY
216 Beverly Street
Friday, September 12 7-9PM
$3/$2 for students/FREE for friends of the Centre
It’s a debate and discussion on the 9/11 “truth” movement!
Truthers-conspiracy theorists who believe the 9/11 catastrophe was an
inside job have been vocal with their convictions with few attempts at
public debate. CFI presents William Mount and John Ray against truther
conspiracy theorists Doug Plumb and Michael Keefer. William of U of
Guelph has long studied the claims of 9/11 truthers. John Ray has been
published in Skeptic Magazine on 9/11 Denialism. He is a student at
Carnegie-Mellon University and has been active in the 9/11 debate for
years. His work on the subject has been featured on Screw Loose Change
and Evolved Rational. Doug is an electrical engineer and alongside
Miachael Keefer, associate professor in english and theater studies at
the University of Guelph, will be representing the truther side of the
debate. Don't miss this!!
HOT TICKET OF THE WEEK!
SAT. SEPT. 6
THE TIGER BAR
414 College St. REAR
THE NEW STATE, ELKFACE
$5
Try finding out anything about either of these bands. Both the new State and Elkface have made themselves elusive and impenetrable. But I'm sure my friend and I heard The New State one night at the Horseshoe when we went on a whim and we were both impressed. And they are appearing at one of Toronto’s most popular unknown venues. Cans of 50 and a great patio - even if the bands suck, you'll still get a lot of bang for your bucks.
