Come Up To My Room, Gladstone Hotel's annual alternative design event runs from Friday, February 23 to Sunday, February 25 , at the Gladstone Hotel 2ND FLOOR, 1214 Queen Street West. Exhibition and Reception $6.50, Weekend Pass $15 (includes unlimited exhibition entrance, reception, and 2 symposia).

Come on down to the Filthy Lucre Cabaret Monday, February 26 at the Cadillac Lounge (1296 Queen Street West), a benefit for Crook Back Dicky with music, theatre, shit to buy. 8 pm $10 at the door.

Tuesday, February 27 This Is Not A Reading Series presents Kyo Maclear discussing her new novel, The Letter Opener. Gladstone Hotel Ballroom, 1214 Queen St. W. , 7:30-10pm (doors 7pm), free.

The full title of the painting which inspired our magazine title is Homo sapiens, Lepidium sativum and Calliphora vomitoria - a wise man, some cress, and a bluebottle. It is the work of British artist Stuart Pearson Wright.
