Meet Matzohball77

Doctor of Rock and snazzy dresser, Michael is one of the biggest supporters of Indie music in the city and a talented photographer and craftsman.

Where did you grow up?

Willowdale (north north north Toronto).

How long have you been in Toronto?

43 years.

What keeps you busy?

Going to shows, planning social life.

What's reason for leaving the house?

Searching for the perfect pop-punk rock song. If you're wondering... on the local level Clydesdale, Terror Lake , and Boulevard Trash deliver.

What do you give back to the No Fly Zone?

My No Fly Zone is slightly different. Dufferin to Yonge, Front to Bloor. This re-defining of the boundary is to make it more rock, if you believe, as I do, that Yonge will rise again. Oh...what do I give back? Well, I never leave this area so I support it financially by shopping and working where I live.

What can we do to make Toronto a world-class city?

Stop trying so hard. Hasn't everyone been to Sneaky Dee's. Duh! It already is one.

Are you an artist?

No

How has art influenced your life?

I know when to run screaming.

Favourite artists?

Jean Dubuffet, Henri Matisse

Favourite Toronto artists.

Holly Farrell, Casey McGlynn.

Pink Shoes by Holly Farrell, 2006
Pay as You Go by Casey McGlynn
