Sunday, July 22, it’s Sneaky Dee's Wavelength pwyc indie night featuring Be Bad (purveyors of self-destruct), Quebexico (raucous indie rock) and Varge (Sudbury noise rock).

On Tuesday, July 24, Drummers In Exile make a noise in Trinity Bellwoods Park. Drum and dance in the park starts at 8 pm. Donations are welcome.

Also on Tuesday the Art Bar Poetry Series presents readings by Amanda Hiebert, Sonnet L’Abbe and Myna Wallin. Victory Cafe, 581 Markham Street, 8pm, free.

 











The full title of the painting which inspired our magazine title is Homo sapiens, Lepidium sativum and Calliphora vomitoria - a wise man, some cress, and a bluebottle. It is the work of British artist Stuart Pearson Wright.
