Sunday, August 26 Gladstone - At the end of the day, we'll drop our bookish demeanor and celebrate at our closing party, SAVE THE ROBOTS.

In the magical ether of late 90s New York club land, James St. James was one of the ruling elite, the Celebutante Grand Dame of Club Kid culture before its glittering drug fuelled and murderous demise.
Then he wrote a book about it. Join us in celebrating the launch of his newest novel, Freakshow as we recreate the era with Save The Robots, named for an NYC hangout of the era. 7pm, Ballroom, $10 adv./$12 door.

The full title of the painting which inspired our magazine title is Homo sapiens, Lepidium sativum and Calliphora vomitoria - a wise man, some cress, and a bluebottle. It is the work of British artist Stuart Pearson Wright.

"At the end of the first sitting, the Prince inspected the work and exclaimed 'godzooks' or 'godzounds', the artist was too alarmed to remember which."
